Pre K News

We have been doing a lot of great things in Pre K so far this year. The children are having a wonderful time meeting and greeting new friends. 

In Language Arts we have been reading stories of Friendship. We listened to a story of all our great Feelings, a story of two friends, The Little Red Hen, The Lion and the Mouse, a Big Mouthed Frog and A book of the Great Shape Hunt.  We also have been looking at all the letters of the alphabet, both big and small.  We have enjoyed learning and singing our Nursery Rhymes like Jack and Jill, Humpty Dumpty, To Market to Market, just to name a few. The children have been also learning about rhyming words and same and different words.  This week, we will begin our unit on "My Family, My Community."  We will listen to a story about what families do and how much fun we have with our families. We will continue to share songs, stories and rhymes.
